Bio/CV Russell Pachman received a BFA from California Institute of the Arts. Recent exhibitions include Group Shows 2006 and 2007 at Geras Tousignant Gallery, San Francisco, Spectrum 4 and 5, Access Institute, San Francisco, Corazon en Fiesta MCCLA, San Francisco and FOUR, Melting Point Gallery, San Francisco. Russell teaches printmaking at The Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts in San Francisco. |
Each of these works attempts to plumb the depths of imagined memories in which the commonplace can be elevated to the extraordinary. While these pieces are for the artist a variation on the self-portrait, the choice of iconic imagery allows the viewer his or her own visceral experience.
