Cupcakes and candy are a reminder of the sweet things in life.  Sprinkles are not only sweet but also decorative, an early form of painting and a childlike indulgence.  Two cupcakes side by side relate like a romantic couple; a group of three cupcakes is a little unsteady; a group of seven huddle in a solid pack.
